If you could read anywhere...

With cooler weather approaching, quickly, for some (like us at RedShelf, since we are located in the Windy City and the center of brisk temperatures) it is nice to pick a new spot to read an eBook or settle in for some studying. We have listed a few of the best places to read an eBook, both destination-wise and local-wise!

1. The McAllen Public Library

Part of the public library system in McAllen, Texas; here’s the kicker...it exists inside a former WalMart big box store! A must-attend library on your bucket list

An Independent bookstore Located in Paris, during the 1920s; it served as a gathering place for writers such as Ezra Pound, Ernest Heminway, James Joyce, and Ford Madoz Ford. Today it serves as a regular bookstore, a second-hand bookstore, and as a reading library.

3. The main Reading Room, New York Public Library

A room lined with thousands of reference works, grand chandeliers, sturdy wood tables, comfy chairs and fully lit with massive windows, The Rose Main Reading room provides for a great atmosphere to be captivated by a novel.

5. In front of the fire place

Sitting in a chair by a roaring fire –the crackling sound and the warmth coming from the fireplace serve as wonderful accompaniments to reading.

6. Your Local Public Library

Being surrounded by other readers just provides for a great atmosphere to dive into a book for either leisure or study purposes.

Working out is not only great for your body, but decrease some boredom while hammering out those miles on the elliptical or bike by catching up on some reading!

10. On a beach..somewhere warm

One of the best places to read: on a beach, in a chair (or towel..watch out for the sand), with the humming of the waves as background noise. Can't you just picture it? We sure can...hurry up and move along winter!
