Coming at you live from Houston! The members from the RedShelf team are here and have worked hard all day not only getting the booth ready but also hosting several panels and presentations during CAMEX's Education Sessions. As promised, we will be putting together a brief recap on the happenings of the CAMEX show!
So let's start with day one! While some of the team had arrived earlier in the week, the rest of the team arrived early afternoon on Saturday. Upon leaving Chicago in 30-40 degree weather with snow on the ground, the team gladly embraced the 78 degree weather in Houston. Most of the team headed straight to the George R. Brown Convention Center to help set up the booth.
Hint: Our theme is Spring Break!
RedShelf team members also presented in a few presentations on Saturday. RedShelf's COO, Tom Scotty, served as the moderator for a panel called, Optimizing Your Bookstores Transition to Digital, that consisted of publishing partners from various different publishing houses.Greg Fenton, RedShelf's CEO and Co-founder, also served on the panel.
Soon after the panel wrapped up, RedShelf headed over to the next presentation we were holding called, "eTextbooks: The Trend is Happening Now. Are YOU Ready?" In this presentation, RedShelf team members, Shannon Godfrey Director of Sales and Marketing, and Tim Haitaian, CFO and Co-founder, presented on numerous trends surrounding eTextbooks.
Sunday was day one of the actual trade show, and let's just say the booth was busy with individuals stopping by to say hello, stay for a chat, or had a scheduled meeting with one of our team members. As the day wore on, it got closer and closer to our sponsored happy hour event!
After the show had ended, several of our team members attended the MACS/OACS event at a local Italian restaurant in downtown Houston, which RedShelf among other vendors were also sponsoring. What a great turn out!
With the first few days of the CAMEX Show under our belt, the RedShelf team is ready to tackle another! Stay tuned for an awesome photo recap of the event!
